Het Jackpot Halibut toernooi

Seward is een van Alaska’s visgebieden voor grote heilbotten. Vissen tussen vijftig en tachtig pond is gebruikelijk. De grote vissen bereiken tussen de honderd en driehonderd pond. Contante geldprijzen van in totaal $875 worden elke week uitgereikt aan drie winnaars tijdens dit 14 weken durende evenement. De prijzen baseren op gewicht, varierend van 60 tot 120 pond. Er wordt een grote jackpot uitgereikt aan de winnaar aan het eind van het tournooi. Er zijn ook speciaal prijzen, tagged vis, en nog veel meer prijzen! Het Jackpot Halibut toernooi vindt plaats van mei tot juli.
